There are two aspects of this video that are worth noting. First, it offers a compelling theory of innovation; of how new ideas develop. Second, it demonstrates the power of high quality educational media. After a mere four minutes, the viewer has a vivid understanding of the theory. We, in education, need to remember how effective high quality media can be at helping people learn. Higher education, though, is not set up to produce this kind of content. We generally don’t have the skills or financial models – or even incentives, I might suggest – to produce content of this high quality.
